Hamburg, July 29, 2024—Hamburg-based Luana AG signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with the Stuttgart-based InterSPA Group for the energy supply of all InterSPA locations.

Luana AG, an expert in decentralized and ecological energy supply, will be responsible for the development and implementation of holistic energy supply concepts for all current and future locations of the InterSPA Group, one of the leading companies in the German leisure and vacation sector. On the InterSPA side, the actual implementation will be supported by Green W-SPA GmbH.

Through this cooperation, the InterSPA Group’s facilities will be modernized and optimized. With the installation of photovoltaic systems and decentralized heating systems such as heat pumps and woodchip heating systems, the focus is also on moving away from fossil fuels and towards renewable energies and the energy independence of individual properties.

A comprehensive energy and requirements analysis is conducted for each site, followed by the development of a detailed implementation plan. Luana AG then assumes responsibility for the subsequent implementation of the measures.

The first project of this cooperation is the WONNEMAR Wismar water park. Once a preliminary understanding had been established regarding the scope of cooperation, an on-site analysis commenced to assess potential energy optimization strategies for heat and power supply, with the objective of initiating the planning process for a photovoltaic system. In the subsequent phases, drone flights are used to develop 3D models of the property and system.
